The City of Houston, in partnership with the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), received a FEMA Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant in 2015.
Through this grant program, FEMA provides funds for projects to reduce or eliminate risk of flood damage to buildings that are insured under the National Flood Inssurance Program (NFIP) on an annual basis. Grants are given to elevate qualifying flood-prone homes, with highest priority given to Severe Repetitive Loss and Repetitive Loss properties.
All properties must have a current NFIP flood insurance policy to be eligible. If you missed the meeting and would like to verify eligibility for property elevation funding, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
